The Concept
Technology "MAP Sensor / Sub-System Tester"
allows you to test MAP sensors and the MAP sensor sub-systems
for correct operation.
The "MAP" tester is a microprocessor-based hand-held
unit with a 3 digit L.E.D. display and a 15-bufton keypad.
The tester, when connected to the vehicle battery, will
self test and 'power up" automatically. The "MAP"
tester is capable of testing the "MAP" sensor
over its entire operating range against a precision
internal benchmark sensor.
The "MAP" tester can check the "MAP"
sensor without removing it from the vehicle. The tester
will check the vehicle sensor Vref, signal, and ground
wire to insure proper voltage and ground. Sensors, new or
used, not connected to a vehicle may also be tested with
the CTI 234 MAP sensor tester.
The "MAP" tester can be programmed to test
Delco Electronics, Motorola, and Kavlico map sensor
calibrations.
